Project
OPSIZO is a project within ERASMUS+ KA220-VET - Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training.
Model
OPSIZO aims at eliminating the discrimination and manifestations of microaggression that prevent the socio-educational and professional development of workers (in particular women and LGBT+) because a non-inclusive organisation does not allow dynamics of personal growth and collectively, it does not support participation in civil and social life.
Toolkit
The project OPSIZO will help these groups address the obstacles they face in accessing the opportunities to profesional training as well as contributing to the creation of inclusive environments that promote fairness and equality.
Guidelines
The objective of the OPSIZO Guidelines and Manifesto for D&I Micro Enterprise is to consolidate the results of OPSIZO in the context of the LifeComp (Life Competence Framework) of the European Commission and to promote the results of OPSIZO outside the partnership, beyond the project and especially to ensure an impact at the policy level.

The Closing Meeting of the Opsizo project
Co-founded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, the OPSIZO project joins together seven partners from six different European countries to develop operational instruments that advance diversity & inclusion in microenterprises. Through its work, the project aims to make maganers, employes and all staff more expert about gender and sexual stigma, microaggressions, discrimination, equity and capable of dealing with these situations. On October 22, 2024, the closing meeting of the OPSIZO project was held in Naples at the SInAPSi Center in the Botanical Garden. All partners were present and effectively discussed their work on project implementation and the results achieved, which highlighted the excellent work done during the two-year duration of the project. The meeting was a time to exchange on work done but also on how the partnership cooperatively worked together. The partnership also noted how useful the work done can be to managers and staff of microenterprises, noting the effectiveness and clarity of the material and tools developed and their applicability. At this point, the last formal steps are missing to say successfully concluded the OPSIZO project. For more information, please visit opsizo.eu.

The OPSIZO project has just launched two resources designed to foster diversity & inclusion within microenterprises: guidelines for diversity & inclusion and a manifesto for diversity & inclusion in microenterprises. These interesting tools aim to address access barriers, promote equality, and create inclusive work environments across the EU’s microenterprise sector. Co-founded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, the OPSIZO project joins together seven partners from different European countries to develop operational instruments that advance diversity & inclusion in small businesses. Through its work, the project aims to eliminate discrimination and microaggressions that hinder socio-professional development. A key focus of the OPSIZO project is on the drafting of guidelines and a manifesto for diversity & inclusion in microenterprises to ensure long-term policy impact in vocational education and business contexts. These resources aim to improve competitiveness and efficiency in microenterprises, promote a culture of diversity and inclusion as a corporate welfare tool, and contribute to workplace equality. In more detail, the guidelines provide practical strategies and step-by-step instructions for trainers and entrepreneurs to implement OPSIZO’s tools and training suite. Designed to foster inclusive workspaces, they address the unique challenges small businesses face. On the other hand, the manifesto intends to be the first European-level policy paper on gender and sexual orientation in microenterprises, shedding light on how inclusive practices improve competitiveness, especially in the post-COVID era. It serves as an operational guide to diversity management, aiming to mainstream diversity & inclusion across microenterprises beyond the project’s co-funding period. Thus, the OPSIZO project calls on policymakers, business leaders, vocational training providers, and stakeholders across the European entrepreneurial ecosystem to adopt these resources and foster inclusive environments. Microenterprises play a crucial role in Europe’s economy, and promoting diversity & inclusion is not only a social imperative but also a strategic necessity for business growth and resilience.
